Drag a casualty backward, both hands still on the weapon. Belt-towed from a rated hard point — your hard point is your failure point, so read the fitting notes. Two-person loop built in to give the team versatility.
Tubular nylon webbing, mil-spec IRR thread. Batch-numbered, made here.
The pattern goes open-source after the first production runs — the design belongs to everyone; the standard belongs to us. Enhancements contributed by Alex Boreland.
Fair warning: the tooling costs a disproportionate amount for one drag device (~$1500 AUD) — a high-torque industrial sewing machine with at least 14 mm (9/16") of material clearance, a heat knife, mil-spec thread, and tubular nylon webbing tape. Home-sewn copies must be proof-load tested before use. No exceptions, including yours.
Safety Disclaimer:
Only designed for intended use case - current training for conventional forces doesn't permit shooting on the move backwards under tension with a friendly in front. A level of physical fitness and training is required to use effectively. This is designed for full-on warfare when dragging your mate is the only way to get them home.
Fitting Notes
Requires a rated pistol belt (issued won't do it) with a D-shackle to carabiner onto.
Dragline wraps under the casualties' armpits to maintain support to their cervical spine and airway under tension. The unique shape of the mesh drains excess blood away from the body during care under fire, and cups underneath the helmet providing rigid stability when fitted centrally.
